Privacy Policy - Mooky

This Privacy Policy explains how Mooky collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Mooky mobile application and related services.

Mooky is an app for parents and caregivers that helps track a baby’s daily routine, including sleep, feeding, diapers, insights, reminders, AI chat, and community chat. Mooky is not a medical service, is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease or medical condition, and does not replace professional medical advice.

1. Who may use Mooky

Mooky is intended for parents, legal guardians, and caregivers who are at least 18 years old. The app is not intended for direct use by children, and children may not create accounts.

When you enter information about a baby, you represent that you have the appropriate authority to provide that information and to use the app in relation to that baby.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account and authentication information

To use Mooky, you must create an account and sign in using Google or Apple. In connection with this process, we may receive and store basic information required to identify you, such as:

• name or display name, if provided by Google or Apple;
• email address;
• internal user identifier;
• authentication information required to operate the account securely.

We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.

2.2 Baby profile information

When using the app, you may enter information about a baby, including:

• baby’s name;
• date of birth;
• sex;
• whether the baby was born prematurely;
• gestational week at birth, if provided.

2.3 Daily routine and event information

Mooky allows you to record daily routine events, including:

• sleep;
• feeding, including breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and solids;
• diapers.

This information is used to display history, insights, summaries, gentle predictions, and reminders within the app.

2.4 AI Chat information

Mooky includes an AI chat that allows users to ask questions and receive general explanations and insights in the context of the baby’s routine. Messages sent through the AI chat are stored in our database.

The chat may use context from information entered in the app, such as the baby’s age, sleep events, feeding events, and diaper events, in order to provide a more relevant response.

Do not use the AI chat for urgent medical information, emergencies, or information that you do not want stored or processed. The chat does not replace a doctor, nurse, medical hotline, certified consultant, or any other professional.

Use of the AI chat is limited to 25 messages per user per day, or another limit displayed in the app from time to time.

2.5 Community Chat information

Mooky includes a community chat where users may publish questions, posts, comments, likes, age ranges, and optional hashtags.

Community posting is anonymous to other users. However, anonymity is not absolute as between you and Mooky: we keep internal identifiers that allow us to connect community content to the account that published it, for purposes such as safety, community management, handling reports, preventing abuse, and enforcing these terms.

Do not publish personally identifying information, sensitive medical information, information about minors that you are not authorized to share, or any content that you do not want visible to other users.

2.6 Technical and operational information

When you use the app, we may collect basic technical information required to operate, secure, and improve the service, such as:

• device type and operating system;
• app version;
• basic login and usage data;
• errors, crashes, and diagnostic information, if such tools are enabled in the future;
• IP address or basic communication data required to operate the service.

As of the date of this Privacy Policy, Mooky does not use advertising, does not conduct advertising tracking, and does not sell personal information to advertisers.

2.7 Information we do not collect

As of the date of this Privacy Policy, Mooky does not collect:

• precise location;
• photos, videos, or files;
• audio;
• contacts;
• information for advertising or remarketing purposes.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• create and manage user accounts;
• enable sign-in with Google and Apple;
• manage a baby profile and the two caregivers included in the current version;
• record and display sleep, feeding, and diaper events;
• display history, summaries, and insights;
• operate the AI chat and provide more context-aware responses;
• operate the community chat and manage user-generated content;
• send reminders and notifications, where allowed by the user;
• manage subscriptions, free trials, and access permissions;
• provide support and customer service;
• improve the app, detect errors, and maintain service security;
• enforce our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines;
• comply with legal, regulatory, or contractual requirements, where applicable.

4. Subscription, free trial, and access permissions

The app is free to download, but active use of the service may require an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Mooky may offer monthly and annual subscription plans, as well as a 7-day free trial. Current prices and terms are displayed in the app and in the relevant app store before purchase.

The subscription is intended to apply at the Baby/Family level, and not only at the individual user level. In the current version, each Baby includes up to two caregivers. Support for more than two caregivers may be added in the future.

After the end of a free trial or active subscription, the app may switch to read-only mode, where you may view existing information but cannot add new events or use certain active features.

Payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are managed by Apple or Google, depending on the platform through which the purchase was made.

5. Sharing information with third-party providers

We may share information with third-party providers that help us operate the service, but only as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

These providers may include:

• infrastructure and hosting providers, such as Railway or similar providers;
• authentication providers, such as Google and Apple;
• subscription and payment providers, namely the Apple App Store and Google Play;
• push notification providers, such as Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging;
• AI providers, such as OpenAI, to operate the AI chat;
• security, crash monitoring, or technical support providers.

We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

6. Use of OpenAI for AI Chat

When you use the AI chat, the text you send and relevant app context may be sent to OpenAI in order to generate a response.

Do not enter information into the AI chat that you do not want processed by an external AI provider. We aim to limit the information sent to what is reasonably needed to provide a relevant response.

AI chat information is also stored by Mooky for purposes such as displaying chat history, improving the user experience, safety, support, and service management.

7. Push notifications

If you allow notifications on your device, Mooky may send push notifications related to the baby’s routine, reminders, account activity, or important updates.

You can control notifications through your device settings and/or through the app settings, where available.

8. User-generated content and community

Content published in the community chat may be visible to other users in anonymous form. You may not publish content that is abusive, misleading, dangerous, unlawful, infringing, privacy-invasive, or that includes unsafe medical advice.

Mooky may remove content, restrict users, handle reports, hide content, or take other actions at its discretion, including without prior notice, if we believe there may be a violation of the Terms of Use, harm to other users, a safety risk, or misuse of the service.

9. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, manage the account, display history, operate the AI chat and community, provide support, maintain security, comply with legal requirements, or enforce the Terms of Use.

Information may also remain in backups for a limited period according to our backup and security practices.

10. Account and data deletion

You may request account deletion from the settings screen in the app.

After account deletion, we will delete or anonymize the personal information associated with the account within up to 30 days, unless further retention is required by law, security needs, abuse prevention, or dispute handling.

Account deletion will delete account details, the baby profile, routine events, AI chat history, and other personal information associated with the account.

Content published in the community chat may remain visible in anonymous form and without active identification of the user, in order to preserve continuity of community discussions, unless we decide to remove it or are required by law to do so.

11. Information security

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, alteration, or disclosure. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted or stored online.

12. International data transfers

The services and providers we use may process information outside Israel, including in countries where our infrastructure, authentication, payment, notification, or AI providers operate servers.

By using the app, you agree that information may be transferred, stored, and processed outside your country of residence in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

13. User rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, object to certain processing, or receive more information about how your information is used.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date and take reasonable steps to notify users, such as through an in-app notice or other appropriate means.

Continued use of the app after an update means that you accept the updated Privacy Policy, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
